This image is a self portrait. As a young girl I dreamt of becoming an author. I had found myself lost in fantasty worlds while reading novels, and it wasn’t long before I became lost in stories of my own. In a representation of forgotten dreams, The Writer represents this part of me being both held close, and drifting away.
